Amenano B&B & Apartments is located less than 20 meters from Piazza Duomo (Cathedral Square) and Piazza Universita (University Square), Amenano B&B is in the heart of the baroque historical center of Catania. This historical center has always been considered as the jewel of Sicilian architecture and has been declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Is situated on the second floor of an elegant and historical building built in the 700's by a noble family. Therefore, the 'palazzò itself is considered to be a building of historical and architectural value.

Nightlife, known as "Movida Catanese" is located a few meters away from our B&B with a many "Caffe Concerto" and other typical local coffee shops specializing in delicious local pastries, pubs, restaurants, sidewalk café's, tavola calda and many other popular meeting places. By day, one can visit the most important monuments that the city has to offer including the Duomo, the Greco-Roman Theatre, the Amenano Fountain, La Pescheria (a historical and folkloristic fish market) the historical Palazzo dell'Universita, Via Crociferi, Via Etnea (the main shopping street) and everything else that normally can be found in the heart of a City like Catania. All this and more (including the very large daily open-air market) are within walking distance of our B&B.

Amenano B&B is certainly the best located lodging place to suite and cater for every visitor's needs and for them to conveniently see all that the city of Catania has to offer. From its strategic and central location visitors can easily reach the beaches, the mountains (Mount Etna), the railway station, bus terminus, the seaport, airport - all of which can be reached in a short time even by public transport.

Wonderful and charming property with a great location in heart of Catania. Our host Carmelo was super informative and was there waiting for us at check-in :) the room was very charming and had most of what we needed to cook meals. We didn’t have the breakfast but it sounded very nice. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The Amenano is in a beautiful heritage building right in the historic center of Catania. Communication with Carmello (host) was excellent. He was very helpful in accommodating a very late check-In. I only wish we had had more time in the area to enjoy the space. I can highly recommend this B&B!

The rooms are quite spacious and airy. This property is located on the second floor, there is no lift. The manager is unable to give you a hand with the luggage as he has a back problem. Book it only if you're travelling light and happy to climb the 2 flight of stairs. Breakfast consists of juice, coffe and croissant.

Posso solamente fare i complimenti: struttura in posizione strategica, vicinissima a tutti i più importanti punti d'interesse della città; ben tenuta a seguito di una interessante ristrutturazione; arredata e completa di tutto il necessario (con doppi infissi che garantiscono un'ottima insonorizzazione con l'esterno, pompa di calore, phon... ); gestita in maniera impeccabile da Carmelo disponibile oltre quanto lecito aspettarsi. Bagno più grande dello standard, pulizia giornaliera effettuata da persona altrettanto cordiale. Il B&B è stato una bella scoperta! In pieno centro di Catania, dietro l’università a pochi passi da via Etnea. Stanza molto grande in un palazzo storico con tutti i confort e ben isolata dai rumore dei locali presenti nei dintorni. Carmelo, il proprietario, molto attento alle tue necessità e molto disponibile per suggerimenti vari (anche ad aiutarti con la valigia, visto che il B&B si trova al 2º piano senza ascensore). Ottima scelta per una sosta per scoprire Catania. Tutti 10, solo un 8 alla colazione, perchè viene fornita dal bar, causa restrizioni Covid. Translate this text

Con mia moglie siamo stati per 4 gg a Catania..abbiamo avuto la fortuna di prenotare dal Sig Carmelo, ottimo padrone di casa, gentilissimo, cordiale e discreto. Il B&B si trova nel centro antico di Catania a 2 passi dal Duomo, dalla fontana dell'Amenano, e dal palazzo dell' università. Con pochi passi si "vive" Catania..e che vita. Camere pulitissime e posizione strategica. Una città da vivere e scoprire..soprattutto a piedi per le sue vie..anche quelle più interne e meno frequentate, alla ricerca di scorci, sapori e costumi tipicamente siciliani. La colazione non viene servita presso la struttura, ma si assapora in uno dei bar più storici e prestigiosi di Catania..Il Bar Prestipino, uno dei modi migliori per iniziare bene la giornata. I love my work, being an architect and running the B&B...Very open and sociable character, I consider myself a very hospitable person. I love Catania, my beautiful city, and for this reason able to passionately advise my guests the most beautiful and characteristic places to visit...I would like every guest to feel at home in my B&B, maybe even better...

In my free time I love to travel and anyway, every time I receive new guests, talking about the country from where they come, somehow, for a few moments, I also travel with my mind, while remaining in my city.
