Torre di Ligny is a small fishing village located in the center of Trapani, a very important point of national and international tourism due to the Cuscus Cuscus Day event held every year in August.
Various festivals are planned in the area in addition to the Cous Cous day; in August, there is also the very important festival of the Madonna of Trapani with fireworks and many other events organized by the municipality of Trapani even during the low season.
At the northern end of the sickle-shaped peninsula on which Trapani stands, the tower of Ligny stands out. Built-in 1671 on the occasion of the arrival in the city of the Viceroy Claudio Lamoraldo, prince of Ligny, the mighty construction, of a square plan, currently houses the Museum of Prehistory. The museum can be visited every day from 9 am to 1 pm. The crystal clear water, the limestone rocks, the small and narrow typical streets of the place, and its easy connection with the Egadi Islands, Erice, Segesta, San Vito Lo Capo, Bonagia, Custonaci, make this place unique and magical in its own way.
